-year-old pakistani girl shot in the head and neck by taliban gunmen earlier this week is improving. the young teenager is recovering at a military hospital outside the city after undergoing surgery. she remains on a ventilator and is still unconscious. the girl was shot for her outspoken support of education for women in pakistan. a spokesman says the girl's family had been warned several time about her outspokenness before trackers tracked her route home from school and shot her. two suspects have been arrested. >>> a close race for congress is getting a little physical in southern california. you saw it there. brad sherman threw his arm around howard berman in this youtube clip. a little uncomfortable. the two had been debating about the dream act last night. berman kind of stepped back, and a debate organizer and a sheriff's deputy stood behind them. the congressmen are both running against each other for the reelection in november. a spokesperson for sherman said the congressman regretted the incident, but denies he was trying to start a fight, just getting a little closer. >>>
